As seen in The Mag
In August of 2021, I began freelancing for The Mag, LSU’s on-campus magazine. It quickly turned into a full-time position. I currently serve as The Mag’s primary content writer. For each quarterly publication, I write the student spotlight, cover story and paragraph introductions for the different sections of the magazine. I collaborate with a team of graphic designers to curate visually appealing stories, and I work with our social media manager to transform the articles into TikTok-friendly posts.
This is an excerpt of the Cover Story included in The Mag’s Back to School Guide published in August 2022. I found some of the top LSU-related social media accounts and spotlit three with full stories. I also curated several TikTok’s to answer questions Mag readers submited about Mike the Tiger.

I wrote this Student Spotlight on LSU baseball player Josh Pearson for The Mag’s 2022 Winter Issue. In every magazine, we dedicate around 750 words for a profile on an LSU student. To publicize the piece, I chose the most Tik-Tok friendly interview question, “What’s your favorite place to eat in Baton Rouge?” With 26.4k views, the clip became one of the most viewed TikToks on The Mag’s profile.
