As a Louisiana native, storytelling was always part of my life. At a young age, I recognized the importance of recording events and the emotional power a well-told story holds. When I grew up, I attended the LSU Manship School of Mass Communication where I majored in journalism. Today, I tell stories in text and video — and by blending both.

Print Journalism
Through my coursework and work opportunities beyond the classroom, I’ve gained experience in entertainment, environmental and sports reporting. I worked for The Reveille, LSU’s on-campus newspaper, for one year before moving into an editor position. I led seven reporters in The Reveille entertainment section for the Fall 2022 semester. I am proficient in AP style, and I am open to freelance opportunities. I currently serve as the main content writer for The Mag, LSU’s on-campus magazine, and freelance for the LSU Alumni Magazine.
Broadcast Journalism
I’m perfecting a 360-degree storytelling process. In my broadcast classes, I learned to work as an MMJ. I am experienced with pitching story ideas, reporting, interviewing, shooting video and editing with Adobe Premiere Pro. I know how to write scripts with anchor intros and teasers, and I can effectively transform my packages into web copies. My favorite pieces to cover are feature stories. At the center of every human experience is a story waiting to be told.
Multimedia Presentations
As part of a thesis project for the Ogden Honors College at LSU, I created a multimedia portfolio of journalism about Louisiana social studies topics. As a history, English and sociology minor, I combined all of my passions into this capstone project. I addressed my thesis to elementary school students to better practice synthesizing information into engaging formats that any audience can understand.
