Honors Thesis

In the PDF below, you’ll find six articles centered around Louisiana social studies topics. I created this booklet as part of the requirements for the Roger Hadfield Ogden Honors College at LSU. I developed this unique portfolio project to combine my passions and academic pursuits. I used skills learned in my major, journalism, and my three minors, English, history and sociology. I traveled across the state to interview sources, like museum curators and a shrimp boat captain. I took many of my own photographs and designed the pages myself using Adobe Illustrator and InDesign. I combined text, video and sound to create interactive layouts that engage readers of all ages.
